Regular polishing pads often aren’t strong enough for the power of modern polishers. Standard foam pads struggle with velcro release, foam breakdown, and edge wear at higher speeds. Old-school polishers are rotary and spin on one axis, applying pressure to the pads. Dual Action (excenter) polishers add an eccentric throw to the spinning motion, creating even more pressure.
