White Quantum Pads are perfect for enhancing gloss after scratches and oxidation have been removed with compounds, polishes, and sanding pads. Use white Quantum Pads with polishes like V36 Cutting Polish and V38 Final Polish. If the result is good, you can finish with sealant or wax. 

Pads that reduce heat

The design of regular polishing pads is often not strong enough for the power of the polisher. Regular foam pads tend to fail when detaching from the velcro, foam, and edges during polishing at higher speeds. Old-school polishers are rotary and spin on one axis, applying pressure to the polishing pads. Dual Action (excenter) polishers add an eccentric throw to the spinning motion, creating even more pressure. The Dual Action mechanism moves the pad between 2mm and 26mm, generating significant friction and pressure. Quantum engineers developed these pads with Precision Port technology. The hole in the center allows easy and perfect centering on the backing plate and additionally reduces heat through the center. Most heat builds up in the center of the polishing pad, so cooling this area is crucial to prevent cracking and other defects.  The new velcro system features air channels that, combined with TORQ backing plates, enable ventilated airflow. Quantum Pads are designed with a beveled edge to prevent the backing plate from touching the surface during polishing.
