The 1K nano network bonds firmly to the paint and, based on innovative reactive substances, forms an extremely smooth, high-gloss, chemical-, UV-radiation- and abrasion-resistant paint sealant.
Special additives give the paint an extremely deep shine.
The one-step process significantly reduces working time compared to 2-component systems.
The paint is perfectly and permanently protected against adverse environmental influences.
Thanks to a unique easy-to-clean performance, insects, bird droppings and similar deposits can be removed much more easily.
The durability is approximately 1 year, but can be extended to up to 3 years through regular manual aftercare with NanoMagicShampoo (hand wash) or aftercare with NanoMagic Twin Wax (car wash) as well as the recommended annual paint inspection by a specialist!
The set includes:
- 250 ml sealant in aluminum bottle
- 75 ml dosing bottle - Dosage for approx. one car
- Sponge
- 5 certificates
- 5 flyers
- 5 stickers "Koch-Chemie 1K-Nano lacquer sealed"
Areas of application
Fully cured paints on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, etc.
Application recommendation
A. Basic cleaning
Before the polishing and sealing process, clean/wash the vehicles thoroughly with alkaline detergent (e.g. with Green Star, not sealing shampoos). For coarse dirt such as tree resin, rust film, tar, etc., pre-treat with cleaning clay, tar wash or similar.
B. Paint preparation
1. Strongly to moderately weathered paintwork: Depending on the condition, machine the paintwork with Heavy Cut abrasive polish or fine grinding paste (see Heavy Cut and Fine Grinding Paste product information). Remove all residues with a professional microfiber cloth*.
2. Slightly weathered paintwork and paintwork treated as per point 1 (hologram removal): Apply high-gloss anti-hologram polish mechanically using an eccentric with forced rotation (e.g. Makita BO6040) and an orange anti-hologram sponge (see product information for high-gloss anti-hologram polish). Remove all residues with a professional microfibre cloth*
3. New (hologram and scratch-free) paints and those treated according to point 2: From this point on, use suitable gloves. Wipe all surfaces with a clean professional microfiber cloth* soaked in silicone & wax remover using little pressure and wipe again with another new professional microfiber cloth* with your other hand immediately before drying. This is the only way to completely remove surfactants, drying aids, the oils contained in polishes, etc. and avoid cross-linking problems with the 1K nano. Attention: For sensitive solid or single-layer paints, silicone & wax remover should be diluted 1:4 with water to avoid any matting. Polish any last streaks with another clean professional microfiber cloth* without applying pressure. The paint should now have a scratch- and hologram-free surface under sunlight or a paint control sodium vapor lamp. After this step, the paint must no longer be touched with the palms of the hands/fingers (risk of cross-linking problems, use gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for nano-sealing.
C. Paint sealing
1. When processing the 1K-Nano, observe the recommended ambient temperature of 15-30° C. Be sure to process and harden in a closed hall, not outdoors.
2. Shake the aluminum bottle well just before use and pour it into the plastic bottle provided (75ml). This amount is usually enough for a medium-sized vehicle. If too little is applied, the quality of the seal will suffer. Only use the sealant on fully cured (please note the instructions below) painted surfaces.
2. Apply 1K-Nano ideally by machine (machine application is strongly recommended, especially for single-layer and dark solid paints!) using an eccentric without forced rotation on a slow setting and a black finishing sponge, or manually using a soft sponge (999038) without pressure in sections (max. 1 component: hood, door, fender, etc.). Polish for approx. 2-3 minutes, repeatedly applying fresh sealant. During the polishing process, draw closely overlapping strips several times to ensure that the surface is cross-linked and to avoid clouding (uneven color depressions). After these 2-3 minutes, do not apply any fresh sealant and continue polishing until a coherent film is formed without any drips.
3. Wait another 2-3 minutes and then manually polish the now completely dry film to a high shine using a clean professional microfiber cloth*.
4. After a reaction time of approx. 1-2 hours, the sealant has hardened, creating a chemical-resistant and abrasion-resistant long-term sealant. Any streaks (excess product) that may occur are caused by the reaction process and can be removed after the hardening time using a professional microfiber cloth* or are eliminated by the first vehicle wash (after 3 days at the earliest).
Notes
Caution: Do not use on fresh repair paint! Repainted surfaces require a curing time of approx. 6-8 weeks before the sealant can be applied. Original manufacturer paints on new vehicles can be sealed directly. Ensure good ventilation and fresh air supply during processing! Due to the reactive components, 1K-Nano is stored in a high-density aluminum bottle. Pour any remaining quantities back into the aluminum bottle immediately after use, close immediately and always store upright. The shelf life after opening is approx. 1 year.
(999241), as lower quality cloths contain finishes such as fabric softeners, silicone derivatives, etc. and thus prevent cross-linking on the paint. Always use several clean cloths to avoid the spread of residues and thus unwanted cross-linking problems.
