Koch Chemie - Hand Wax W0.01 is a premium wax sealant with Carnauba for a hydrophobic, high-gloss paint surface. Hand Wax W0.01 contains premium Carnauba wax that seals and protects treated surfaces long-term. The sealing components create a smooth surface with excellent hydrophobic properties. The paint becomes noticeably more brilliant and highly glossy. Hand Wax W0.01 only needs to be applied thinly, making it very economical.

Painted surfaces as well as exterior plastic parts on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, etc.

Thoroughly pre-clean/wash the vehicle alkalinely before polishing and sealing (e.g., with Green Star, no sealant shampoos). For heavy contamination like tree resin, brake dust, tar, etc., pre-treat with clay bar, tar remover, or similar.

Paint preparation for heavily to moderately weathered paints. Depending on condition, machine polish the paint with Heavy Cut (H9.01) or Fine Cut (F6.01) polishing compound (see product information Heavy Cut H9.01 and Fine Cut F6.01). Completely remove residues with a professional microfiber cloth. For lightly weathered paints (hologram removal), machine polish with High Gloss Micro Cut (M3.02) using an orbital polisher with forced rotation (e.g., Makita PO5000C) and Micro Cut Pad (see product information Micro Cut M3.02).

Completely remove residues with a professional microfiber cloth. Wipe all surfaces with a clean professional microfiber cloth soaked with Silicone & Wax Remover using light pressure, then immediately wipe again before drying with a second new professional microfiber cloth using your other hand. This ensures complete removal of surfactants, drying aids, oils contained in polishes, etc., and prevents adhesion problems with the hand wax.

Caution: For sensitive solid or single-layer paints, dilute Silicone & Wax Remover 1:4 with water to avoid possible hazing.

Polish off any last streaks with another clean professional microfiber cloth without pressure. The paint should now have a scratch- and hologram-free surface under sunlight or a paint inspection lamp.

After this step, do not touch the paint with your palms/fingers (risk of adhesion issues, use gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for the hand wax.

To apply, gently press the supplied sponge into the can and evenly spread the wax over the surface. Let the wax flash off for 10 - 15 minutes, then polish out with a microfiber cloth.

It’s best to work section by section, e.g., complete hood first, then the next part.

Vehicle washing: To maintain the high-gloss wax surface long-term, wash carefully by hand to avoid removing it too quickly during cleaning. Use plenty of water, soft washing tools, and only soft drying towels for gentle drying. Hard and aggressive washing tools wear off wax faster and scratch the surface. If using car washes, only use textile car washes.
