Koch Chemie - Headlight Polish Set - Headlight restoration set

Koch Chemie - Headlight Polish Set is a headlight restoration set that restores the clarity of yellowed, dull headlights.

With the perfectly coordinated polishes and pads, an optimal surface is created in just two steps.

The practical black plastic case contains sandpaper of different grains, a hand block with Velcro for manual sanding, the polishes Headlight Polish 1 and Headlight Polish 2 with sealing component and three matching pads.

The included Thermo Pad allows good control over the temperature development of the material during processing, as the color change of the pad serves as an indicator due to its thermochromic properties.

A total of 50 headlights can be treated with the Headlight Polish Set.

  • 999251 Abralon sandpaper 4,000 grit
  • 999604 Hand block with Velcro for sandpaper

Areas of application:

PMMA headlights on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, boats, etc.

Recommended use:

  1. Before you begin, clean the headlight and then tape off the edges of the hood, fender, grille and bumper.
  2. Depending on the weathering, sand the headlight surface using a hand block or eccentric polishing machine. If the headlights are very yellow, you should first use 1,000 grit sandpaper (coarse grain). Then repeat this step with 2,000 grit (medium grain) and 4,000 grit (low grain) sandpaper until you have an evenly sanded surface. If the headlights are only slightly matt, you can skip sanding.
  3. Remove the sanding with the Headlight Polish 1 and the Heavy Cut Pad or the Lambskin Pad. We recommend using a rotary polishing machine and applying the abrasive polish in a cross-stroke motion at medium speed and medium pressure.
  4. Polish the surface to a high gloss using Headlight Polish 2 and the Thermo Pad. We recommend using a rotary polishing machine and applying the high gloss polish in a cross-over motion at medium speed and medium pressure. Please note the legal requirements for processing headlights in your country before use.
