Koch Chemie - Nano - Glass Sealant - 250ml


Reactive high-tech sealant that forms an extremely chemical- and abrasion-resistant hydrophobic nano-network on all glass, mirror and ceramic surfaces and seals them sustainably.

The resulting lotus effect reduces the adhesion of environmental dirt, insects, ice, etc., creating an easy-to-clean surface.

The use on car windows results in a unique beading behavior - from around 80 km/h, raindrops are driven away by the wind, resulting in significantly reduced windshield wiper usage and improved visibility in the rain.

Durability: up to one year or 20,000 km. Set contents: 250 ml each of grinding milk and nano-sealing.

Recommended use


A1. Cleaning of glass surfaces

  • 1. Glasses must be cleaned carefully before sealing to ensure a perfect chemical bond to the surface. Clean panes with Glas Star, or in the case of very stubborn dirt, with blue cleaning clay beforehand, until there is no residue.
  • 2. To activate the window and remove glass corrosion, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned with grinding milk (component 1). Shake vigorously before each use. For machine use (polishing machine) apply grinding milk with a microfibre polishing pad (item no. 999308) at low speed, for manual use with a microfibre hand polishing sponge (item no. 999291) to the glass surface and polish thinly for several minutes and then polish with force until the surface feels smooth and a dry film is formed. For older windows, this must be done
    The process must be carried out with particular care, as the upper, corroded glass layer must be completely removed to ensure perfect cross-linking. Do not apply to plastics and rubber (risk of white residue). Then polish off the abrasive residue using dry, clean paper towels (item no. 999552/999553) until it is completely residue-free. To avoid cross-linking problems, do not touch the panes with your fingers afterwards (use disposable gloves).


A2. Cleaning ceramic surfaces

  • Thoroughly clean the ceramic surfaces to be treated with an acidic cleaner (e.g. bathroom cleaner with a limescale-removing formula), rinse with water and dry completely. Do not use abrasive milk, as this will remove the tile alloy and leave white residue in the joints.
  • B. Sealing
  • 1. Apply Nano Glass Sealant (component 2) only to completely dry panes or ceramic surfaces at ambient temperatures between 10 and 30°C (ideally 15-25°C).
    Avoid exposure to sunlight during application. Use suitable disposable gloves.

  • 2. When applying component 2 (application per m²: approx. 25-30 ml) to windshields, start with one half. Apply to the surface using a paper towel (Art. No.: 999552/999553) and polish until an even film of liquid is formed. During the polishing process, apply several times
    Apply component 2 until the recommended amount is reached. After 2-3 minutes, an even film is formed (without dripping).
  • 3. After approx. 2 minutes, polish off this film with a clean paper towel (item no.: 999552/999553) until there is no residue. Sealing residues that are difficult to remove can be dissolved again using component 2 and then polished off immediately .
  • 4. The sealant will cure after 15-60 minutes, depending on the temperature (warmer is faster). Protect from water and new dirt until it has completely cured.


Important information: Do not apply to heated surfaces. Do not use for treating glass in vehicle interiors
suitable because the hydrophobic effect in the passenger compartment increases the tendency for fogging
